Batting Cages

Outlier Athletics features four batting cages available to rent daily. All cages include pitching machines for either baseball or softball, tees, and L/combo screens. The use of the cages is not exclusively for hitting, they can be used for pitching and fielding work as well. The nets are retractable allowing the cages to transform into larger spaces to expand your options for small group or team practice. 

Cage Rates

Single Cage Rental
  • $30 for 30-minutes

  • $55 for 60-minutes 

  • Rent a single cage for hitting (machine, tee, coach toss), pitching practice, or fielding work.

Two-Cage Rental
  • $110 for 60-minutes

  • Rent two adjacent cages to expand your options. Currently available for cages 1+2 and cages 3+4. More info on cage layout/setup is below.

  • Double cage rental with nets retracted is available in a minimum of 60 minute increments.

  • Advance notice is required if you would like the nets pulled back. Email us at info@outlier-athletics.com.

Three-Cage Rental
  • $160 for 60-minutes

  • Rent three adjacent cages to expand your options even further. Currently available for cages 2+3+4. More info on cage layout/setup is below.

  • Triple cage rental with nets retracted is available in a minimum of 60 minute increments.

  • Advance notice is required if you would like the nets pulled back. Email us at info@outlier-athletics.com.

Full Facility Rental
  • $220 for 60-minutes

  • The full facility rental allows for use of all 4 cages as well as the weight room. The nets can be left in place to use the cages as is, or retracted to open up the entire facility. This is a great option for teams to run indoor practice.

  • Full facility rental is available in a minimum of 60 minute increments.

  • Advance notice is required. Email us at info@outlier-athletics.com.

Batting Cage Rental Notes
  • All machines are manual fed, so hitters must be accompanied by someone age 16+ to feed the machine.

  • Helmets must be warn by minors (under 18 years old) at all times when hitting in cages.

  • Advance notice is required if you would like the nets pulled back when renting multiple-cages. Email us at info@outlier-athletics.com.

Cage Layout & Setup

Please see below for information on the current batting cage setup. When you book online, you will automatically be assigned to the first available cage depending on your choice (baseball or softball). Please note that these are the default setups, and can be rearranged if needed. If you would like a specific cage or setup, please message us at info@outlier-athletics.com.  

Single-Cage Setup

Cage 1

  • Softball

  • 47 ft long

  • Hack Attack Jr.

Cage 2

  • Baseball

  • 51 ft long

  • Bata-2 (up to 100 mph)

Cage 3

  • Baseball

  • 47 ft long

  • Hack Attack Jr.

Cage 4

  • Baseball or softball

  • 47 ft long

  • Hack Attack Jr.

Multi-Cage Setup

Cage 1 & 2

  • Cage 1 and 2 combine end-to-end to create one 98 ft long tunnel.

  • Can be used for pitching, hitting, fielding, or catcher specific drills.

  • Includes use of Hack Attack Jr softball pitching machine and Bata-2 baseball pitching machine with speeds up to 100 mph.

  • Access to softball pitching mat and baseball mound (coming soon).

Cage 3 & 4

  • The net between cages 3 and 4 is retractable, combining the two cages into a 24 ft wide x 47 ft long usable space. 

  • Use with net retracted for pitching, throwing, or fielding work with multiple participants,

  • Use with net in place to use as two individual cages.

Cage 2, 3, & 4

  • The nets dividing cages 2 & 3 and 3 & 4 are retractable, combining the three cages into a 36 ft wide x 47 ft long usable space.

  • Use with nets retracted for pitching, throwing, or fielding work with multiple participants.

  • Use with nets in place and use as three individual cages.

Full Facility

  • The full facility rental allows for use of all 4 cages as well as the weight room.

  • The nets can be left in place to use the cages as is, or retracted to open up the entire facility. This is a great option for teams to run indoor practice.

  • This is not only for baseball/softball, use of the space is open to other sports (soccer, lacrosse, general strength and conditioning) for indoor training.
